Terms&conditions

Reservations and Deposits

• To hold your reservation, a deposit of 20% of the total booking fee is required. This amount will depend on the booked apartment.
For long term rentals different charges are applied (in that case, please contact us).

• Payment of 20% reservation deposit should be made by credit card or by bank transfer. The rest of the amount, 80%, is to be paid in CASH upon arrival at check in, together with the final cleaning and the damage deposit (both obligatory). Please remember, NO CASH, NO CHECK IN!

• Depending upon the apartment booked by the client, a cash damage deposit ranging from 150€ to 200€ is to be paid upon arrival (check in) and will be refunded in full on departure (check out), after inspection of the apartment by the owner or contact person and confirmed by him/her as undamaged.

Please check for the amount of the deposit for the booked apartment your booking confirmation.

Exceptionally, this payment can be made by means of a bank transfer provided always that:
1st the corresponding NET amount (wire cost are paid by the applicant.
2nd the wired amount is received in our bank account one week before arrival of the client.
3rd Barcelonafordays confirmed to the client receiving such an amount.

• In all our apartments a final cleaning of 45 Euros (+7% taxes) is charged, separately from the booking amount, and to be paid in CASH upon arrival at check in.

• If you choose to pay the entire booking amount at once in advance, this can be done by bank transfer only. Please note: in this case bank charges must be paid by applicant, and should never be deducted from the payment.

• For short reservations of 3 days we have the right to request the total amount to be transferred to our bank account at once.
This also counts for times of special events or festivals like; Easter, Christmas, Sonar, Formula 1 races, Mercé Festival etc.

• Please, note that the booking will not be confirmed until Barcelonafordays received the pre-payment amount and a confirmation email send by Barcelonafordays is received by the client.

Cancellation

• If the client cancels a fully paid reservation, there is a cancellation charge that will depend on the number of days before the beginning of the rental period. Please note that the 20% reservation deposit is non-refundable:

- 30-60 days before: 50% of the total amount except for bank taxes.
- Less than 29 days before: 100% of the total amount.
- If for any reason beyond their control, including force majored.

• If the client cancels a prepaid reservation of 20%, deposit is non- refundable:

- Reservation fee of cancellations within 72 hours of the beginning of the actual day of rent can not be used again for reservation other then the actual one made.

• In the event that the client changes the dates, it will be understood as a new booking and it shall be subjected to the cancellation conditions.

• It is strongly recommended that clients purchase travel insurance. Any cancellation, including force majored, will be subject to our clear and simple cancellation policy previously mentioned.

• If Barcelonafordays should be unable to provide the client the property he has booked, they reserve the right to transfer him/her to a property of similar characteristics. If no agreement can be reached both contractual parties are authorized to cancel the contract. In this case Barcelonafordays will refund the client all money paid. Barcelonafordays will not be liable for further claims whatsoever by the client.

Arrival Times

Upon completing the reservation of an accommodation the customer should supply us with the flight number and arrival time as well as the estimated arrival time at the accommodation. Upon arriving in Barcelona the customer should contact the contact person directly to reconfirm the arrival time. In case of any delay or change in arrival time, the customer should contact the contact person. There is no refund in case of delay or early departure. Check-in time is usually 15:00 with check-out time around 11:00. Please note that arrivals after 20:00 carry a supplemental charge of 30€.

Keys

The accommodation keys will be handed over by the contact person once the remaining balance has been paid including the security deposit and any other additional costs. All costs will appear previously in the reservation confirmation. When the keys are handed over to the customer he/she must supply a photocopy of his passport or identity card.

Occupancy

The number of persons occupying an apartment must coincide with the number of persons in the confirmation. It is forbidden to make any change in the number of persons from what is indicated in the reservation without previous notifying Med-aparts.com. Any change to the number of persons can incur an extra charge to the total of the reservation.

Damages, deterioration and missing objects

The renter is responsible during his/her stay in the accommodation for the condition of the accommodation. As such he/she is responsible for any type of breakage, deterioration or loss that is produced in the apartment, furniture, appliances, keys etc. The owner can demand the payment of the object, deteriorations and/or damages caused which will be deducted from the deposit and if this does not cover the costs the renter must pay the difference. Also the renter promises the respect the rules of the accommodation and those of the neighbours'. The renter promises to communicate immediately with the contact person any damage, breakage or loss that is produced.

Cleaning

The renter promises to return the apartment in the same state of cleanliness as when he entered except for dirtiness incurred through normal and acceptable use of the accommodation. Med-aparts.com can provide a cleaning service at an additional cost.
